Lonely Planet Launches a Host of Apps for Travelers

Posted by One Comment

MapTheGap.co.uk has recently published an article about Lonely Planet launching a new gaming app.

As it stands, this new travel app is available on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, and allows you to (virtually) travel around places and solve puzzles along the way. The idea is to get you familiar with new places and to learn about them while you play.

As well as this new ‘gaming’ app, Lonely Planet also has a host of mobile city guide apps (available on the iPhone and iPad). These city guide apps are basically digital versions of the world famous Lonely Planet  books, and they’re extremely useful as they contain so much great information and helpful tips (such as where to go and what to avoid).
