How to Travel With a Cat
Traveling with a cat can be a stressful experience (for both you and the cat), and is one that’s best avoided whenever possible.
If you do have to travel with your cat, however, in order to make your journey as smooth and as safe as possible be sure to follow the tips (and the four steps) provided in the short video below.
To summarise the video:
Step 1: You will need:
- A cat carrier
- A cat bed
- A litter box and kitty litter
- Cat food
- A cat identification tag
- Cat medication (if required)
Step 3: Make sure to feed your cat several hours before leaving, but make sure there is plenty of food and water available in the carrier.
If necessary, talk to your veterinarian about how your cat may experience motion sickness, and what they can do to prevent it.
Step 4: Place a clearly written identification tag on the carrier (including your destination and telephone number).
